Andy Lynch, Owner

Andy Lynch currently lives in North Beach after a long childhood in the East Bay. He has worked on dozens of state and local political campaigns, most recently managing Marjan Philhour’s Supervisor race in the Richmond. He is the owner of the Bay City Beacon, which has simultaneously made him no money and cost him many sleepless nights. He graduated from Georgetown University.

Victorio Li

Victorio Li is a San Francisco native and student at Skyline College. He is studying Mass Media & Communications. Victorio is a SF native of the Richmond and can be found working at Moonstar Buffet in Daly City on weekends.

JayAnn Leyson

JayAnn has been living in San Francisco since she was 9 years old. She has a long history of Democratic and healthcare activism, from her work in Filipino Americans for Obama, KAYA Filipino Americans for Progress, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Light the Night Walk, and One Brick organization.  JayAnn has a B.S. in Child Development from San Francisco State, and currently interns for Board of Equalization Chair Fiona Ma.

Daniel Herzstein

Daniel Herzstein is a San Francisco native who enjoys hunting for the City’s best ramen, going to Giants games, and complaining about Muni. He attended Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore before returning to San Francisco where he sought refuge from both the snowy winters and humid summers under the protective blanket of Karl the Fog.

Jay Cheng, Publisher

Jay Cheng was born in New York City, but raised in the suburbs of San Jose. He achieved his boyhood dream of growing up and moving to the big city; and currently lives in the Haight. Jay has spent the last several years working in politics and government affairs, but decided to leave it all behind for a quiet career in newspaper publishing. He spends his weekends facing near-death surfing at Ocean Beach.

Diego Aguilar-Canabal, Managing Editor

Diego Aguilar-Canabal was born & raised in Silver Spring, MD on a steady diet of punk rock and salsa. He came to the Bay Area to study Psychology at Stanford University, where he instead opted to study English Literature, having found crazy people to be more interesting when fictional. He has since written non-fictionally for Decoder Magazine and the Bay Area Metropolitan Observer.

Bruce Agid

Bruce is a native San Franciscan. He grew up on the City’s West Side and graduated from Lowell High School. He and his wife currently live in Mission Bay. Bruce serves on citizen committees associated with the Transbay Transit Center, Central Subway, High Speed Rail and the Better Market Street Project. He also serves on a non-profit board advocating for Historic Transit in San Francisco. Professionally, Bruce worked at PG&E starting as an entry level employee represented by the IBEW 1245 and over a long career moved up through management. He currently works for a consulting firm responsible for business development.
